No, I’m not giving up dear reader. I’m going on holiday, and thought I’d treat myself with a glass of red wine here and there. I’ve vowed not to have more than one large glass a day with my dinner.
I’ve also got rid of all the wine in the house, so there’ll be no temptations easily at hand when I’m back next week.
I’ll report on my glucose levels after my holiday. Even if the wine does not affect my blood sugar over the next week, I won’t be going back to my old ways. I know myself. One glass becomes two then three. That’s what leads to inflammation and prolonged elevated glucose for me.
I’ll still be writing regularly, but I may miss a day or two over the next ten days.
