Quercetin and Zinc

Dr Mercola has an article out that looks at Swiss Policy Research a self-described “independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit research group investigating geopolitical propaganda in Swiss and international media.”

Among other things the article discusses the use of quercetin in combating Covid. I’ve been taking this supplement for some time because of its supposed anti-inflammatory properties. According to Mercola’s article, it also helps fight Type-2 diabetes and possibly cancer.

From Wikipedia:

Quercetin is a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It is found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and grains; red onions and kale are common foods containing appreciable amounts of quercetin.

I haven’t seen any effects on my blood sugar personally, and I take all anti-cancer claims with a grain of salt; however, anything that combats inflammation is good in my yes. As I’ve said many times before, even if it doesn’t work, I’m only hurting my wallet.
