Mercola has an interview out with Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist. They discuss metabolic disorders as being a key risk factor in becoming seriously ill or dying from covid.
One of the key takeaways is that “there are five primary parameters of metabolic health: waist circumference, insulin sensitivity, blood pressure, and triglyceride and HDL levels. Having three or more abnormal parameters is indicative of metabolic syndrome.”
Most diabetics have some form of insulin sensitivity. However, the other factors can be rectified with good diet and lifestyle choices. Again, I’m not surprised that obesity is the biggest factor given the research I’ve written about in the past.
