I’m not one to get my knickers in a twist every time the scaremongers throw out a catchy headline. That said, a couple of years ago, I did see this in the Daily Mail: “Microplastics are found in more than 90 PERCENT of popular brands of bottled water including Evian and San Pellegrino.”

It seems that the bottling process can result in us consuming plastic. Is it harmful? Who knows in such tiny quantities? That said, I know my body is not made to eat plastics. If I can easily avoid them, I will.
Solution? I drink from glass bottles or tap water through a Brita. As an added bonus, I know the plastic won’t end up on the beach or in the stomach of some unlucky fish.
