Just a brief post today. This technique has really helped my morning glucose readings. I haven’t followed it religiously because I’ve had the odd normal dinner; however, when I have eaten dinner like a prince, it’s been a lot earlier (4:00 to 5:30pm). This has had a very positive effect on my morning reading too. Indeed, since starting this eating programme, I’ve only had one day above 8.0mmol/L and most mornings have been around 7.0.
This morning was my bad day. Even though I worked out quite late last night, and hard, I had a surprisingly high 9.2 reading this morning. My guess is that it was the rebound from having a few drinks over the weekend in honour of finishing Dry January. I did eat a little more 100% cacao chocolate than usual as well.
I’ve written about this before, but I have a suspicion that my liver overcompensates after being supressed by alcohol for a couple of days. That will have to be researched now and blogged. Watch this space.
